Clocking in at just over half a century old, this ’66 Ford Galaxie 500 Sedan was in good shape when it arrived. No body rust whatsoever, a freshly tuned up 289 V8, new tires, it was truly a perfect summer cruiser. The owner let us know he was wanting to put it on consignment with us, so we got to work. We provided an extensive full detail, which included a refresh of all the chrome and a buffed-on paint sealant to protect the enamel paint. The interior was in a similarly good state as the exterior, with the only sign of age being a minor seam separation on the original bench seats. We thoroughly blew out and steamed the seats, carpeting and headliner to really give the time capsule interior a fresh, new feeling. When it came time to sell, a customer came from across the state to drive this moving piece of American history to its new home.
